OWSA is dedicated to the development and promotion of athlete-centred, amateur wheelchair sport programs. Since 1972, the Association has been coordinating workshops, clinics, competitions, public awareness demonstrations and special events to promote wheelchair sports throughout the Province. OWSA is also responsible for setting policy, qualifying standards, enforcing rules, sanctioning events, handling protests and other related matters to ensure fair and equitable competitions.
OWSA’s mandate includes the following sports: Wheelchair Athletics, Wheelchair Basketball, Powerlifting, Wheelchair Rugby and Wheelchair Tennis.
